Yamaha Fascino scooter launched in India, Priced at INR 52,500
Leading two-wheeler manufacturer, Yamaha Motor India, launched its new scooter – the retro looking Fascino in India at INR 52,500 (ex-Showroom, New Delhi).
Like the retro looking Piaggio Vespa, Yamaha Fascino is offered with a comfortable seat, an engine with Yamaha blue core technology to deliver impressive fuel efficiency and a large foot space. Under ideal test conditions, this cute looking scooter delivers a mileage of 66km/l, which is considered the highest in the Indian scooter segment.
Mechanically, the company has powered the Fascino with the same engine which powers its Ray, Ray Z and Alpha scooters. Its single-cylinder 113 cc, air-cooled 2-valve engine churns out 7.1 PS of power and 8.1 Nm of torque mated to a V-Belt automatic gearbox option.
The scooter is equipped with 90/100/10 tyres at the front and rear. It measures 1815 mm long, 675mm wide and 1120 mm high. Weighing only 103 kgs, the Yamaha Fascino has a ground clearance of 128 mm and a wheelbase that measures around 1270 mm. It is equipped with a 5.2 litre fuel tank.
Yamaha India is offering the retro scooter in five interesting colors- red, white, cobalt, black and cyan for the buyers to choose from. As we all were expecting the company to launch a 125cc scooter, the company seems to have taken the right decision of launching yet another scooter in the 110cc category, looking at the success of the Ray and Alpha.
With its attractive price tag, the Yamaha Fascino would surely give some much needed competition to the Vespa which sells around 2,000 units a month.
