Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR Scooter launched in India at Rs. 52,000
Yamaha, recently made another entry into the rather emerging scooter segment of the country by launching its ‘Next Gen Boy’s Scooter’ named as the Cygnus Ray-ZR. This scooter is price at Rs. 52, 000 (ex-Showroom, Delhi) for the base variant and Rs. 54, 500 (ex-Showroom, Delhi) for the front disc brake equipped variant.
The Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR was first unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016 and the bike was launched yesterday in the country. As for the looks of this scooter, it is made especially for the youth of the country with lots of graphics along its body frame. A bulged out front face, alloy wheels and pure black exhaust makes the scooter look pretty aggressive and sporty too. Apart from the normal color schemes on offer, Yamaha is offering an all-new olive green paint option that is very impressive to look at and boasts bronze coloured alloy wheels, suspension setup and handlebar that makes it quite attractive to look at.
The Cygnus Ray-ZR gets its juice from an 113cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor with Yamaha’s legendary Blue Core Technology and is tuned to a CVT gearbox set. This mill is capable of returning 66km/l of fuel efficiency, which is very impressive in this segment comparing other scooters such as the Hero Maestro Edge, Honda Activa etc. This new and trendy scooter also offers other features such as a funky looking analog instrument cluster, a 21-litre under seat storage compartment, Tubeless tyres etc. All these features with Yamaha’s blue core technology, makes the Cygnus Ray-ZR a complete all round package in the market.
