Traffic jams are quite a common sight across the world and if something can save us from these horrendous jams then it`s got to be the AeroMobil. The AeroMobil is a flying car and it’s going to become a reality very soon, thanks to Stefan Klein who is the inventor and Co-founder of AeroMobil.
Mr. Stefan Klein worked on this project for nearly 20 years and came up with the AeroMobil 2.5 prototype which has been successfully tested for landing, take-off and flight. The Slovakian company will unveil the production version of the world`s first flying car, the AeroMobil 3.0 on October 29, 2014 in Austria at the Pioneers Festival.
The AeroMobil is powered by a Rotax 912 engine with a flying range of 700 kms and 875 kms on land. The flying car will consume 15 litres of fuel per hour while flying and 12.5 km/l while driving on road. The AeroMobil is claimed to have a top speed of 160km/h on road and 200 km/h in air, while the take off speed is 130km/h. The wing span is 27 feet and these get folded into the side of the car while travelling on road. The car is built on a steel frame with carbon coating and it can carry two adults in comfort.
