Volvo India will be bringing a more potent version of its S60 sedan to the Indian market. It is called the S60 T6. The car is slated for launch on 3rd July, 2015. The S60 T6 was initially introduced in India by the Swedish carmaker in 2011, but was discontinued later owing to poor sales.

The new Volvo S60 T6 gets a beastly 306 PS motor under the hood which bangs out a massive 400 Nm of twisting force. The two litre four cylinder turbocharged petrol mill is capable of doing a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 5.9 seconds. Power is transmitted to the wheels via an eight speed automatic gearbox. Volvo claims that the S60 T6 will deliver a mileage of 15.6 kmpl, even though the car boasts of fantastic performance.

In the International markets the S60 T6 comes equipped with All-Wheel-Drive, however, the Indian market will get only the front wheel drive T6. On the safety front the car will feature all the safety gizmos seen on most Volvo cars. When launched the Volvo T6 will rival the likes of the Mercedes C-Class, BMW 3-Series and the Audi A4. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 35 Lakh.
