Volkswagen Vento 2015 model returns more mileage, Gets subtle changes on the exterior and interior

The Volkswagen Vento has been under constant pressure from its competition. Volkswagen has now revealed a facelifted Vento, to keep up with its rivals. There are quite a few changes that meet the eye on first glance, but no changes have been made under the hood.

Exterior

Front Fascia: The first thing that you notice is the new front grille, styling is borrowed from the Passat. The new bumper looks more aerodynamic, and the chrome fairing goes well with it.

Side: the side profile of the vehicle is more or less the same, except for new alloy wheels design, which has been borrowed from the new Polo.

Rear: The backend of the vehicle too has gone under the knife. Chrome strips around the bumper, and above the number plate look well placed. New taillight design adds a premium feel to the vehicle. The boot can now be opened with an external button, which is a welcome change.

Interiors

Quite a few changes have been made here too. The steering wheel and mounted controls remain the same, and thank god for that. The well designed center console gives the car a fresh feel with the silver detailing. Along with that a host of new features have been added. Cruise control and dead pedal facility for highway driving, electronically controlled ORVMs, and a cool glove box compartment has been added to for extra convenience. All these features defiantly improve the Vento`s image. This also goes to show that Volkswagen cares a lot about customer satisfaction.

No changes have been made under the hood though, and the car comes with the same diesel and petrol options as before. You get the 1.5 litre TDI motor, 1.2 litre TSI coupled to the 7 speed DSG, and the 1.6 litre naturally aspirated gasoline motor with the 5-speed manual transmission. VW India claims that the facelifted Vento returns better mileage than its predecessor. The company claims that the new sedan is 7.5% more economical than before. All in all, an exciting update. This will make it more difficult for consumers looking to buy a new vehicle to make a choice.
