Valentino Rossi wins Spanish GP

Rossi ecstatic after Spanish GP win

With nine Grand Prix World Championships to his name Valentino Rossi is no stranger to any Moto GP fan. He has been racing motorcycles since the age of 17 and has raced for many teams such as Aprilia, Honda, Yamaha and Ducati. Since 2013 he is racing for Yamaha Movistar Racing Team and has been waiting for a title win.

Rossi has won the race at Circuito de Jerez, Spain which was the 4th race of this season and his first win of this season, his first win since the British Grand Prix in August last year, and his first win after 20 years on the same circuit. The last race that Rossi won in Britain was quite an effort and it showed, but in this Spanish GP Rossi dominated the race from the beginning added to the fact that he was at the pole position.

He was given tough competition by his own team mate Jorge Lorenzo who once even passed Rossi but Rossi was in great form and managed to take the first position back. Rossi won the race with teammate Lorenzo at second place while Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez took the third spot.

The biggest reason for Rossi’s win was motivation, as he says he was highly motivated from the beginning of the day and said that he wanted to prove it that this is not his last season. He also said that he is quite comfortable with the Yamaha M1 and the Michelin tyres, which is another reason for his win.

This was the 138th race win of his career and now he trails just 24 points behind the championship leader Marc Marquez. This was the 4th race of this season which has a total of 18 races. Marc Marquez has already won two races.
The next race which will take place in Le Mans, France will be an interesting one as Rossi fans must be praying for him that he maintains this momentum and wins the next race also.

Being a die-hard fan of Valentino Rossi I too want him to win!
