Updated Renault Pulse launched at Rs 5.03 Lakh
Renault India has updated the Pulse 2015 model with a host of new features and interior changes to revive the car`s sales.
Renault sure has done well for itself with the introduction of the Duster SUV in the country. The car was an instant hit with the masses, and filled the coffers for the company. Now Renault wants to use its reputation earned to increase sales and increase volumes. The company`s only breadwinner is the Duster, which helped the company establish its presence in the country. The other cars from the manufacturers stable haven’t exactly been best sellers.
Renault has launched the new Pulse priced at Rs 5.03 Lakh. The refreshed model will have a number of new features, and internal changes. The upgrades include steering mounting controls, automatic headlamps, and adjustable driver seat. The car will have keyless entry, with start and stop function, auto folding ORVM’s and an updated infotainment system. In terms of safety the car will have ABS, EBD dual airbags and the works.
The Renault Pulse will have a petrol and a diesel engine on offer. The diesel is a 1.5 liter k9k motor that produces about 62 PS of power, while the 1.2 liter petrol bangs out a cool 76 PS and 104 Nm of torque. The power from these engines is transferred to the wheels via a 5-speed gearbox.
The Renault Pulse has a lot of competition. The number of hatchbacks in the Indian Automobile sector is ridiculous. From the Maruti Swift and Ford Figo to Chevrolet Beat the segment is completely saturated. The only way the company can help increase sales and volumes is through efficient sales and after sales service and good marketing.
