Upcoming TVS-BMW bike will get a single cylinder engine
There have been rumors doing the rounds that the TVS-BMW alliance will be getting a sub 500 cc motorcycle to the country. This is very exciting news for two- wheeler enthusiasts, as they would get world class engineering with the benefit of economical production. This is going to be an extremely successful alliance as the country is currently seeing an overhaul in the two-wheeler segment, with domestic manufacturers pushing the envelope.
TVS have made an official statement that further reveals that the new products will be completely engineered by the Germans and will be cost effectively produced in the country. A sub-500 cc motorcycle has been confirmed, and will be revealed by the end of the year.
Currently a TVS two wheeler codenamed the K03 has been seen undergoing testing. Most probably online reports suggest that the bike`s cubic capacity will be under 300 cc, to give competition to KTM and Bajaj. The possibility of a two pot motor has not been denied, with BMW hoping to make the most out of this partnership.
The products coming out of this partnership will carry the BMW badge, and will also be catering to an export market. This is indeed an exciting time to be a 2-wheeler enthusiast in the country. Watch this space for more updates.
