Maruti Suzuki XA Alpha
Maruti has always been known for its compact and fuel efficient vehicles. Now the brand surprises us with an all-new 4-meter sub suv. This car has been one of the most awaited since the 2012 Delhi auto-expo. The upcoming XA Alpha is expected to be launched in 2015 and the car will be launched with two engine options, the Fiat sourced 1.3 litre multi-jet powered engine and the 1.4 litre K-series petrol motor. The XA Alpha will take on the Ford Ecosport and other upcoming SUVs. The compact SUV is expected to be priced between Rs. 5.5 lakh – Rs. 8.0 lakh (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki SX4 Cross
Maruti Suzuki comes up with its first ever crossover. The upcoming SX4 cross will be launched before the much-awaited Maruti Suzuki XA alpha. The vehicle has already begun its test rides and will be out in the Indian market anytime in 2015. The engines on offer will be an all-new 1.6 litre diesel motor and a 1.6 litre petrol engine. It`s expected to be priced between Rs. 6.5 lakh – Rs. 9 lakh. So here we have two new exciting segments from Maruti Suzuki. Excited aren’t we?
Maruti Suzuki Celerio diesel
The compact and smart hatchback celerio, was launched in February. Now the company is working on a diesel variant of this hatchback. The car is going to be powered by an 800 cc motor and will be launched during the first quarter of 2015. It is likely to offer a mileage of 35kmpl. This would make the Celerio Diesel the most fuel efficient car of the country, however the power would restricted to around 50bhp to 55bhp. It`s expected to be priced at Rs. 4 lakh.
The awesome looking Jazz, which hit the Indian market, some years ago, failed to attract the attention of the Indian market. The reason was it had a high price tag and it wasn’t available with a diesel engine. Now Honda has decided to launch the all-new jazz with a diesel engine and has had the car looking way better than the previous jazz and will also bring down the price. The upcoming 2015 Jazz will get a 1.2 petrol i-VTEC 87 bhp engine and a 1.5 litre i-DTEC 99bhp and a roaring 117bhp 1.5 i-VTEC petrol engine which does duty in the current generation Honda City. Expected Price: Rs. 4.80 lakh – Rs. 8.50 lakh
Honda brio based SUV
Expected date: The exciting brio based suv would be launched in the second quarter of 2015.
Expected price: The price is expected to start at 6.50 lakhs and go up to 9 lakhs.
Technical specifications: The engine will come in two variants, reportedly a 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol (87 bhp) and 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel(99bhp).
What to expect: A sub compact SUV.
Hyundai ix25 Compact SUV.
Expected date: The ix25 is expected to be launched during mid 2015.
Expected price: The car is expected to be priced at 7.50 lakhs – 9.50 lakhs
Technical specifications: 1.4 litre VTVT petrol (89bhp); 1.6 litre CRDI (126bhp)
What to expect: this suv is going to be a powerful one and will compete with the Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and other upcoming SUVs in 2015.
Hyundai i20 Cross:
Expected date: This car is expected to launch during the first half of 2015.
Expected price: It’s expected to be priced between Rs. 6 to 7.50 lakhs.
Technical specifications: The Crossover car will be powered by a 1.2 litre petrol (82bhp) and 1.4 litre diesel (98bhp).
What to expect: The Hyundai i20 Cross is going to have a rugged look with a more aggressive front and rear profile and will feature bigger alloys.
Mahindra’s Sub-Compact SUV
Expected date: The sub compact SUV will be launched at the first half of 2015
Expected price: The expected price will be approximately Rs. 4 lakh – Rs. 6 lakh
Technical specifications: The compact SUV will feature a 1.5 litre diesel engine (100bhp).
What to expect: A stylish looking compact SUV.
Ford Figo sedan
Expected date: The Ford Figo sedan is expected to be launched in mid-2015.
Expected price: It will be priced between Rs. 5 to 7.50 lakh
Technical specifications: It will be powered with a 1.5 litre diesel (90bhp) engine and 1.0 litre Ecoboost petrol engine (123bhp).
What to expect: The cool figo hatchback now in a sedan shape giving you more space and comfort.
Tata kite twins
Expected date: The cars will be launched during mid 2015.
Expected price: The kite hatchback will be priced between Rs. 2.5 – 4 lakh and the sedan will be priced at Rs. 3 – 4.5 lakh.
Engine options: 1.2 litre petrol motor and a 1.05 litre diesel engine.
What to expect: A sedan and a hatchback at a reasonable price.
