Upcoming bikes in India [2015]

The past year has been super exciting for motorcycle enthusiasts. A lot of new companies made their debut in India, and a lot of existing companies launched new bikes in new segments. Gauging the good response to the number of people ready to shell out more money on a better bike, the companies have decided to enter into segments, which were not imaginable before. Next year expect to see a lot of cruisers, superbikes and quarter litre beasts roaming the roads!

Here’s a small list of upcoming bikes to keep an eye out for next year.  We couldn’t make up our mind, so the list is in no particular order!

Pulsar SS400 2014

Bajaj Pulsar 200SS, 400SS and 400CS
No list is complete without mentioning the Bajaj Pulsar. This bike changed the motorcycle industry creating new segments and paving the way for other companies to follow suite.

Estimated Release date: 200SS: Early-2015; 400SS: Mid-2015; 400CS-End-2015
Estimated Price: 200SS:1.35L; 400SS:1.8L; 400CS:2L
What to expect: The 200SS and 400SS brothers will share similar styling cues, based on the 200NS. The 400CS is a lethal cruiser at an attractive price. The big capacity engines will have ABS.

2014 Mahindra Mojo

Estimated Price: 1.5L
What to expect: A 295cc monster with ABS as standard

Yamaha R25

Yamaha R25

Estimated Release date: Summer 2015
Estimated Price: 2.8L
What to expect: A 36 PS high revving Parallel-twin engine with riding dynamics to suit the track and street.

KTM RC 390

KTM 250 cc

Estimated Release date: Last quarter of 2015
Estimated Price: 1.8L
What to expect: A sporty bike producing 30PS power, sitting in between the 200 and 390 models

Estimated Price: 1.6L
What to expect: A sporty bike producing 31PS and 26Nm torque with ABS.

Estimated Release date: Mid 2015
What To Expect: Italian styling with a single-cylinder engine that will rival the KTM Duke 200 in the segment, but will cost dearer.

Estimated Price: Rs. 1.50 lakhs
Estimated Release date: Early 2015
What To Expect: 200cc single cylinder that screams street-fighter.

Hyosung RT125D

Hyosung RT250D

Estimated Price: Rs. 1.75 lakhs
Estimated Release date: Mid 2015
What To Expect: A first of its kind in the quarter-litre segment, which has minimum body shell.

These are just some of the Upcoming Bikes in India to look out for in the next year. We ourselves cannot decide if we had to make a pick!
