TVS Jupiter creates record in Scooter Segment, 5 Lakh units sold
India`s leading two wheeler manufacturer, TVS released a press statement saying that the company had sold a record 5 lakh units of the Jupiter scooter in just 18 months of its launch. The scooter has been competing against the likes of the Mahindra Gusto, Hero Maestro, Honda Activa and other competitors in the 110cc segment since its launch in September 2013.
The TVS Jupiter is known for its practicality and riding comfort. It draws power from a 110cc motor which churns out 8 bhp of power and 8 Nm of torque mated to a V-matic gearbox. The TVS Jupiter can sprint from 0-60kmph in just 7.2 seconds, making it the fastest scooter in its category. The company claims that the scooter can deliver a mileage of around 62 kmpl.
TVS Jupiter has been recognized as one of the top quality scooters in the J D Power India Two Wheeler Initial Quality Study 2015, which is a great achievement for the TVS brand.
