TVS Apache RTR 200 bookings begin
TVS has been slowly gaining its reputation in the motorcycle market and giving tough competition to the already popular well-established brands such as Bajaj and Hero. The brand had launched their flagship bike the new Apache RTR200 in January 2016 however no news was given about its bookings, until now. Recently, the company stated that the bookings of their flagship bike would start from April 2016 however no information was provided about the delivery date of the motorcycle.
TVS has a partnership with the BMW motorcycle department and the result in the design language is visible on this new bike as there are sharp distinguishable edges and wolf shaped headlamps that make the RTR200 look even more aggressive and more combative in looks. Some of the more striking features of the bike include petal rear disc brake, digital instrument cluster and LED headlamp setup.
This new motorcycle gets TVS’s all-new 200 cc oil-cooled engine that bangs out 21bhp of power and a peak torque of 17.5Nm. The most striking addition to the bike is that it is available in two variants. One with a carburetor option that will make the bike cost about Rs.88, 990 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the other with a fuel injector option that would cost Rs.1, 00,700(ex-showroom, Delhi). This all-new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is all-set to vow the Indian customers and would be competing against the likes of the Pulsar AS200, Pulsar 200NS and KTM Duke 200.
