Triumph Motorcycles launches Tiger 800 XR in India priced at Rs. 10.5 lakhs
Triumph Motorcycles has just launched its fourth adventure motorcycle, the Tiger 800 XR in India at Rs. 10.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Addition of the dynamic adventure bike in the company’s Indian portfolio has made the company a leading brand of adventure motorcycling in India. Triumph Motorcycles has received an amazing response for its adventure motorcycles in India as a result of which the Tiger XR has been brought to the country as well.
Launched within three months of the Tiger XRx and Tiger XCx models, the latest launch will be a value for money proposition in India due to the fact that it will be brought via the CKD route into the country and will be locally assembled. The bike gets its power from a 800cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 12 valve, in-line three-cylinder engine that belts out 95 PS of power at 9250 RPM and 79 Nm of peak torque at 7850 RPM.
The front suspension gets upside-down forks with adjustable rebound and compression damping while the rear suspension makes do with a monoshock setup which is hydraulically adjustable. The Tiger XR gets traction control as standard along with switchable ABS for ease of riding. It also features Ride by Wire technology which enables lighter throttle response and smoother power delivery. Other features includes adjustable seat height (up to 20 mm), light-weight cast aluminium alloy wheels, 19 litre fuel tank, an AUX power socket, aluminium sump guard and an adjustable headlight angle.
Triumph is offering the new bike with unlimited mileage, two-year factory warranty much like all other bikes that come out from the same stable. The new model comes with new updated styling, improved ergonomics and improved off-roading capability as well. The Tiger XR 800 is a very capable adventure tourer and is also comfortable to ride when driven on the beaten track.
