The Japanese car major, Toyota Motor has officially unveiled its new C-HR crossover concept ahead of its world premiere at the upcoming 2014 Paris Motor Show that will be held on 2nd October. The new Toyota C-HR concept is that of a C segment crossover/SUV and is still in its initial development stage. A pre-production test mule of the crossover concept was spied few times while the vehicle was busy in its first test rounds. However, the new Toyota premium crossover model is not expected to launch anytime next year in the global market.

With the unveiling of the new Toyota C-HR crossover concept, the car maker has also introduced its new design language that will be featured by all the upcoming car models from the house of Toyota. This new Toyota design language is based on an attractive diamond theme that should impress the style conscious modern car buyers.

The new Toyota C-HR concept is displayed to have an aggressively styled front fascia which is complemented with uniquely designed front grille and revolutionary sleek headlights. The alluring headlights are with integrated vertical strips of LED daytime running lights along with new lighting technology.

Toyota`s new C-HR crossover concept, gets an aggressive front face and also features muscular side profiles with beefy wheel arches, which is complete with plastic body cladding and bold large wheels which are a pretty common sight in concept car models. As for the back design of the vehicle, Toyota has endowed on the C-HR concept some more distinct features including boomerang shaped LED tail lights.

The Toyota C-HR concept crossover is not only attractive to look at, but it’s under the hood mechanical specifications are also very impressive. The concept model gets an advanced hybrid system under the bonnet, the details of which are not yet announced by Toyota. The suspension settings of the crossover have also been slightly on the higher range, but the full specifications are yet to be revealed.

The new Toyota C-HR crossover concept model which was revealed featured a 3-door layout, but it is highly expected that it will be offered in a 5-door version in its final production model. The C-HR crossover concept is finally expected to be included by Toyota in its Auris range of cars and it is also speculated to be called the “Auris Cross”. Toyota might position the new SUV beneath the popular RAV4 in the global markets. For the Indian car market, it is yet to be seen whether Toyota Motor would launch it in India or not. Given its premium styling, this new C-HR SUV might not land up in India due to high costs. However, considering the high demands for compact SUVs in India Toyota may even develop a new cheaper SUV based on the C-HR specifically for the country to compete against models such as the upcoming Maruti SX4 S-Cross and the lot. The new C-HR concept is going to be Toyota’s new compact crossover contender.
