Tata Tiago booking figures reach the 15,000 mark in just 1 month
The new car from Tata Motors – Tiago has succeeded to grab the attention of car lovers by its futuristic design, segment-first features and advanced technologies. And this is duly proved by its current booking status. The Indian brand Tata motors’ new child Tiago has crossed the mark of 15,000 units in terms of booking numbers across India. Tiago was launched in April 2016 and within a month, it has received more than 1,00,000 inquires.
The new Indian car is the best looking hatchback built by Tata Motors ever. Tiago is offered in five variants – XB, XE, XM, XT and the top variant XZ. The car is available with six color options: Platinum Silver, Berry Red, Sunburst Orange, Espresso Brown, Pearlescent White and Striker Blue.
Features on offer with the Tata Tiago hatch include the multi-functional three spoke power steering with telephony and audio controls, revised gear-lever, reframed power window switch, multi-drive modes (City and Eco), Juke-Car application, and smartphone integrated turn by turn navigation, which is a first in this segment.
The upgraded XO platform has been used in the Tiago. In the powering department, Tiago is offered with both petrol and diesel options. For petrol model it is powered by the three-cylinder 1.2L petrol VCTi Revotron which has been tuned to produce max power of 85PS against 114 Nm of Torque, and for diesel version it is powered by a new 1.05L three cylinder Revotorq unit which yields max power of 70PS and peak torque of 140 Nm. The new Tata car has fuel efficiency of 23.84kmpl for petrol version and 27.28kmpl for diesel model.
Customers are taking keen interest in the Tiago as 3000 cars have already been sold by Tata, and still there is large huge waiting period for the Tata Tiago And in addition to this, presently the Tiago is offered in the price range of Rs. 3.20 lakhs to Rs. 5.59 lakhs, but these prices might be increased soon due to its initial aggressive pricing.
The Tata Tiago`s total bookings so far is sure to give sleepless nights to its competition, which includes the Chevrolet Beat, Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Hyundai i10.
