Tata Motors to launch facelifted Safari Storme this year
Tata Motors is planning to launch a facelifted Safari Storme in India by the end of this year. The Storme was not able to sustain itself in the market owing to competition from car makers like Mahindra and Renault. Tata is set to change all this and work on the short comings of the Safari Storme. As per reports the Storme will be get cosmetic changes to the front facia in the form of a new grille which is inspired from Land Rover. The changes would not just be limited to the exterior. Changes on the interior will include a refreshed dashboard and better fit and finish.
There is also news that there will be changes under the hood as well. We expect Tata Motors to plonk the new 2.2 VARICOR engine which pumps out 150PS that currently powers the Aria. The new engine has a better fuel efficiency with an ARIA certified 15.05 kmpl. In all likelihood the facelifted Safari Storme will comes with more features, better equipment levels and an automatic transmission. The Safari Storme was always known for its fantastic cruising ability and back seat comfort. With all the changes that the updated Storme gets we hope Tata Motors hits the nail on the head this time around to make it a success.
