Tata Motors exhibits kitted Nano, Safari Storme and Bolt at 2015 Big Boys Toys Expo
Plummeting sales over the months has caused Tata Motors to slide from the previous top position to a lower rank hinting at the need to infuse change in their vehicles. Hence, to combat falling sales, the company has come up with special kits offered on some of its models such as the Tata Nano GenX, Tata Safari Storme and Tata Bolt. The kitted versions of these models are being exhibited at the Big Boys Toys Expo 2015.
Of the three, Tata Nano GenX AMT gets a few additional fitments and some styling changes that elevate the sporty avatar of the vehicle. A new spoiler, body graphics on the sides, sunroof and alloy rims on all four wheels have been bestowed on the outside. Interiors, on the other hand get an art leather upholstery and a remote operated boot lid.
Next in the line to receive changes is the Tata Safari Storme SUV that features a number of extras like alloy wheels with MT tyres, roof mounted auxiliary lights and daytime running lights, tailgate mounted cycle carrier, hood scoop, hood deflector, new seat covers, chiller cum warmer box and coat hangers.
And the third model to be bestowed with additions is Tata’s new hatchback Bolt which was introduced in India recently. The hatchback did not receive a good response as the company had anticipated. Meagre difference in the price of the Zest and Bolt led to cannibalization of sales of the latter. Tata Motors has also infused some new changes in the vehicles which include rally livery, rally alloy wheels with knobby tyres and a five-point harness.
