Suzuki Gixxer SF Nepal launch next month
All the auto manufacturers present in India who retail their vehicles in Nepal as well, have one very obvious thing in common, that as soon as they launch a product in our country, the same will make its way to Nepal sooner or later. Other than the newly launched Bajaj Pulsars (150 AS, 200 AS, 200 SS), the Suzuki Gixxer SF will also find its way to Nepal’s shores in the first week of August. The fully faired 155cc model is based on the very successful Gixxer street fighter which has come out as the best-selling Suzuki motorcycle in Nepal till date.
Recuperating from the infamous earthquakes that rocked the nation not so long ago, the country is looking forward to a happy festive season which always results in the purchase of new vehicles, just like India. The Gixxer SF motorcycle will be imported and retailed in the neighbouring country by VG Suzuki.
Getting its design inspiration from its elder sibling the GSX-1000R, front end of the Gixxer SF looks very sporty thanks to the familiar headlamp unit. Retailed in a limited edition MotoGP livery and a normal black colour, many young buyers have been lining up to buy the impressive Suzuki machine. It is powered by a 155cc air cooled engine which churns out a good 14.8 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheel though a 5-speed gearbox that comes in a 1-down-4-up shifting pattern.
The motorcycle rides on a diamond tubular frame and gets a telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock suspension setup at the rear. The bike handles very well thanks to the 100/80-17 front and 140/60R-17 rear tubeless tyres. The front wheel gets a disc brake, while the rear makes do with a conventional drum brake.
