Skoda`s new design language for the 2015 Fabia

Skoda has discontinued the Fabia in India due to poor sales but the company plans to re-launch the car in India with a new design language. The Fabia was a potent car in Skoda`s arsenal but due to a high price tag Skoda found it difficult to sell the Fabia in the price sensitive Indian market.

Now Skoda has just released a sketch of how the future version of the Fabia will look like. As per the sketch the car has strong character lines running across the bonnet and side panels. The design is typically Skoda but there is an X factor element in the design which will appeal to the younger generation. The Fabia`s length will be similar to the Polo and the new headlamps and grille are inspired from the new Octavia. Further details are not available and Skoda has only released this Sketch which shows the car from a side angle. We`re not sure, how the rear of the car will look like and we hope the current design makes it to the production model.

The new Fabia will be offered with a range of engine options internationally; a 1.4 litre three cylinder diesel engine and a 1.0 litre petrol motor that does duty on the compact Citigo. But when the car is launched in India the 1.5 litre diesel engine and 1.2 petrol engine from the Polo will most likely power the Fabia.
