Shahrukh Khan endorses the new Hyundai Xcent
Hyundai Motor, the second largest car maker of India is known for offering peppy looking cars along with great value for money propositions. Hyundai cars are associated with high quality and style, which are the reasons for their popularity in India.
In order to heighten its style quotient, Hyundai had associated one of the leading actors of India, Shahrukh Khan as its brand ambassador. Shahrukh Khan has been associated with Hyundai Motor India for long now, ever since the early days of the Hyundai Santro Xing. Hyundai actually went ahead winning the hearts of the Indians and became a household name with its Santro and its ads featuring Shahrukh. Later, Shahrukh Khan went ahead to endorse the i10 when it was first launched in India.
Keeping this old custom intact Hyundai Motor India has again brought back Shahrukh Khan to promote its latest launch in the domestic car market, the Xcent compact sedan. Hyundai India has named Shahrukh Khan, who is popularly known as King Khan the brand ambassador for the new compact sedan Xcent. Hyundai India launched the Grand i10 based Xcent compact sedan in March this year. The car soon went on to become the second bestselling model in the segment by overshadowing the sales of the very successful Honda Amaze. The Hyundai Xcent is now the direct primary rival of the long time segment leader, the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.
The new Xcent compact sedan is not only Hyundai`s representative in this highly potential segment, but also the filler of the vacant space of a stylish sedan that was left behind after the discontinuation of the popular Hyundai Accent. The Xcent is already very popular in India and is racking great volumes for its South Korean maker. Hyundai has released the new TVC of the new Xcent featuring Shahrukh Khan showing him as a young ambitious professional who wishes to get a bit of extra out of everything in life, which makes him choose a Hyundai Xcent.
The advertisement shows Shahrukh Khan’s character out on an outing with his family comprising of his wife and twin sons. The family goes to restaurants and ice cream parlors, with Shahrukh Khan asking for something extra everywhere which irks his wife and children. Thus, when he asks the parking attendant to get his car from the valet parking, his twins make fun of him by saying that the car should have ‘extra space, extra comfort and extra style’. Hearing his sons mocking at him, Shahrukh Khan whispers into the years of the parking attendant who drives in a brand new Hyundai Xcent. The TVC then concentrates on the key features of the Xcent, while the family happily drives away in their new car. The new TVC seems to be Hyundai’s new promotional activity for the Xcent in this festive season.
The Hyundai Xcent compact sedan is priced between Rs. 4.65 lakh to Rs. 7.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
