Rumour: Honda Discontinues CBF Stunner In India
Honda`s CBF stunner has been discontinued by the company owing to its lackluster sales. The model continues to be showcased on the company`s official website. The CBF stunner was supposed to start a new trend of sporty 125 cc bikes, but it never enthused the buyers owing to its high price and a motor that lacked grunt.
For Indians a faired bike is associated with performance and the CBF stunner lacked outright performance. In the looks department it was a stunner with it half fairing, split seat and racy graphics. The engine, a 125 cc air-cooled unit was no slouch pumping out 11ps of power and 11Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The extra weight of the fairing resulted in slightly lower mileage figures. Consumers of the 125cc motorcycle segment are more interested in the mileage of a bike. With the arrival of its rival the Hero Ignitor which was priced lower than the Honda CBF Stunner there was little chance for recovery.
As per reports the bike is still being manufactured on a made to order basis. Honda dealers also confirmed that they have stopped receiving the bike since the last three months, since there is no demand for the CBF Stunner. The CBF Stunner is the second bike from Honda to be discontinued, the first being the CB Dazzler which was pulled of the market in the previous fiscal.
