Royal Enfield registers a 42% rise in sales in April 2016
Royal Enfield, the iconic classic motorcycle manufacturer has recently released its overall sales figure for the month of April 2016. The results showcased are quite positive for the company, since an overall growth of 42 percent has been observed from the previous year during the same period. RE had sold an overall of 33,118 units in April 2015 compared to 47,037 units this year (April 2016).
Royal Enfield has grown significantly during the past few years, and now with the recent launch of the Himalayan in the Indian market, they are further expanding their network and reaching out to customers with new products. Along with the increase in sales, the company has also recorded a massive 45 percent growth rate in the export units, which has risen to 1,160 units this year compared to just 800 in April 2015. RE has also expanded its footprint across the globe and opened showrooms in countries such as Thailand, France, Spain and now recently in Ireland. All these efforts by the company, has made it the fifth most largest selling two wheeler motorcycle manufacturer in the country leaving behind Yamaha motorcycles.
Royal Enfield is also hoping to further expand its horizons by launching their third production plant in India at Vallam Vadagal near Oragadam which would further boost its production capacity to almost 900,000 units annually by 2018, and all this means expansion of the brand as a whole.
The company`s line-up in India consists of the Café Racer, Cruiser, Retro Street and Standard Street series including the Himalayan.
