Renault India launches Duster AWD tagged at Rs 11.89 lakh
As we all know the Renault Duster is a very competent product and has been very successful in the Indian market. What was lacking was a 4-wheel drive variant of the SUV, to go off-roading. The AWD (all-wheel-drive) variant of the Duster was one vehicle all the off-roading enthusiasts have been waiting for. Renault India has finally launched the Duster AWD version in India priced at Rs. 11.89 Lakh. So what does the new AWD Duster offer?
The major change is the AWD (All-wheel-drive) system, which offers three modes – Four wheel lock, Auto and Two wheel drive. One more highlight of the All-Wheel-Drive Renault Duster is the independent link suspension for all four wheels contrary to the non independent torsion beam setup in the front wheel drive version of the SUV. The AWD package also includes Renault`s ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and ASR (Traction Control System) technology to ensure the car does not skid on corners during wet conditions.
Changes to the exterior include darkened headlight clusters, Blacked out B pillars, smoky-grey alloy wheels and AWD badging to differentiate it from the front wheel drive variant. Step inside the cabin and you will be greeted with a new three spoke steering wheel, touch screen MediaNav system to control music, communication and navigation, cruise control and soft touch plastics for the upper portion of the new dual tone dashboard.
The All-Wheel-Drive version of the Renault Duster is available in two variants namely – RXL (base) variant tagged at Rs. 11.89 lakh and the range topping RXZ is priced at Rs. 12.99 lakhs. All prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.
