The new Toyota Etios sedan is expected to be ready in its facelifted avatar and it was recently spied as well. The refreshed Toyota Etios is expected to launch very soon, before Diwali. The changes in the new Etios are only expected to be cosmetic in nature along with some new features as well including a driver’s side airbag as a standard offering.

The Toyota Etios sedan based, Liva hatchback is also expected to get similar updates in its new 2015 model. The Etios Liva facelift is also ready and will be launched on the 15th October this year. While this new cosmetic refresh will be minor in nature, Toyota is planning to keep the car’s appeal fresh to the customers with frequent minor updates.

Changes to the 2015 Toyota Etios Liva will include a revised front fascia with the incorporation of a new grille with a single slat design. However, while the Etios facelift model was seen with chrome garnished bright grille, the Liva’s grille is lacking the chrome finish.

The spied new Liva facelift featured no other changes cosmetic changes to the exterior design. On the inside, the Liva will get quite a few changes and additions. Toyota has offered basic reverse parking sensors as a factory fitted new feature in the Liva facelift. The refreshed Liva’s cabin also gets better quality fabrics in the form of door trims as well as some new wooden inserts for the interior panels. The hatchback’s refreshed model will now get a leather wrapped steering wheel, while the gear lever will get some flashy chrome surrounds. The hatchback will come with power adjustable wing mirrors, while the driver’s side airbag will be a standard feature across the entire Etios Liva range which is same as the Etios sedan range. It is really good to see that Toyota is paying attention towards increased safety measures for the Indian cars as well.

Both the new Toyota Etios sedan and the new Etios Liva hatchback are just facelift models with no mechanical changes under the hood. The new Liva petrol will continue to be powered by the same 1199cc petrol motor generating 80PS of power and 104Nm of torque. The Liva diesel will get powered by the 1364cc mill that delivers 68PS of power and 170Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The current Etios Liva is priced between Rs. 4.40 to Rs. 6.91 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the facelifted model is expected to get a minor price hike.
