Range Rover Evoque facelift launching in India on 19th November
The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque can easily be termed as one of the most popular SUV from the Britain-based company. The SUV became a major hit when it was first launched in India a few years back. The Evoque is now due for an update and Land Rover has revealed that the new model will be launching in India on 19th November 2015.
Though the overall design of the facelift remains the same, the front end sees a reshaped front bumper, larger air dams, all-adaptive LED headlamps and a new front grille. The alloy wheel design is new and fresher. The rear on the other hand gets LED taillights and a new roof mounted spoiler.
Coming to the interiors, everything is finished in new soft-touch materials with various colour customisation options, new seats and new door casings as well. On the centre of the dashboards sits a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a host of connectivity options. Other features includes a new TFT display in the instrument cluster, InControl Touch and a latest technology unseen on any other Range Rover model till date – All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC). This new tech helps the driver to travel at a fixed speed while traversing tough and inclined terrain.
Safety wise, the Range Rover Evoque facelift gets autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist and drowsy driver warning. Land Rover has confirmed that features such as a heads-up display, 17 speakers with an 825-watt Meridian surround sound system, hands-free tailgate function, rear seat entertainment package and surround camera system will be found on the new model coming to India.
Powering the sleek looking facelift is a 2.2-litre diesel engine that generates 187 BHP of power. Power is sent to the wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox. At present, the Evoque is priced at Rs. 49.2 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the facelift is expected to be priced a bit higher than the current model.
