Porsche Panamera Diesel Edition launched in India at Rs. 1.04 crores
Adding on to the list of models, Porsche has just launched a more affordable diesel variant of the Panamera called the Diesel Edition: Gran Turismo in our country. Priced at Rs. 1.04 crores (ex-showroom, Maharashtra), the famous sports car maker has equipped the Panamera with a diesel engine that puts out 250 BHP of power. The new variant also gets many features as standard.
Since vehicles costing this much are known to come with various luxuries, the Diesel Edition comes with bi-xenon headlamps with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), 19-inch alloy wheels which are the same as the Panamera Turbo II, door sill guards with ‘Edition’ branding, dual tone black and luxor beige leather upholstery, sporty steering wheel and Porsche crests that are embossed in all headrests. Other than these, the car comes fitted with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system. This is an advanced in-car unit that lets one control the sound and audio system along with telephony functions and satellite navigation.
But this is not all, the Porsche Panamera Diesel Edition is also equipped with front and rear park assist with rear camera, soft closing doors, power steering plus, four-zone automatic climate control, electric sunroof with slide and tilt function and Adaptive Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Hence, Porsche has not cut corners in the Diesel Edition and the company has worked hard to make the car one hell of a luxury machine for everyone sitting inside.
At the car’s launch, Director of Porsche India, Mr. Pavan Shetty said that the Panamera Diesel Edition is a thrilling four-door sports car that combines sheer driving pleasure with various styling factors that makes this Porsche a different car when compared to other cars from the same stable. The long list of standard features further makes it an attractive premium car that will definitely satisfy all the needs of an enthusiast.
As sales of premium luxury cars is rising all the time, the Panamera Diesel Edition should find a good amount of takers given the fact that firstly it’s a Porsche and secondly, it’s a more affordable Panamera.
