Porsche launches the new 2015 Cayenne in India at Rs. 1.02 Crore
The Cayenne might seem like an offbeat model considering the rest of the product range of the German luxury car maker Porsche, but the company sells more Cayenne units than any of its other models. The Porsche Cayenne sells more in India as well as in the international markets. Porsche had made the world premiere of the 2015 updated Cayenne at the 2014 Paris Motor Show that was held in October. It also gets Active air flaps which is an industry first in SUVs and ensures better aerodynamics and improved fuel economy. The vehicle’s rear also gets a refreshed design with refreshed rear bumper and newly designed tail lights with darkened patches similar to the Macan’s. The S E-Hybrid gets the same powertrain as the Panamera E-Hybrid that comprises of an electric motor paired with a 3 litre V6 supercharged gasoline mill delivering a combined power output of 416PS and 435lbft of peak torque. The new Cayenne S E-Hybrid variant can do a 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds and comes with a top speed of 243 kmph. Moreover, the variant’s all-electric top speed is claimed at 126kmph.
