Nissan to launch facelifted Sunny in India on 3rd July 2014

The Nissan Sunny will be launched in India on July 3rd in a slightly new avatar, thanks to the cosmetic updates on the exterior and interior. When the Sunny was initially launched in India it did not find many takers. Nissan felt it was a good product but it lacked the styling and equipment levels. So here comes the face lifted Sunny.

Let`s take a look at the changes in the facelifted Sunny.

The Sunny gets new bumpers, headlamps and a redesigned grille. The face lifted sunny will come with two engine options – the tried and tested 1.5 litre K9K diesel engine and a 1.5 litre petrol engine. There will be three variants on offer – XE, XL and XV for the diesel and XE, XL for the petrol. There are two optional upgrade packs available for the diesel XV variant. The upgrade packs offer more features like leather upholstery and side airbags. Features like driver airbag,ABS and EBD are standard across all variants.

Nissan claims that the facelifted Sunny is more fuel efficient than the previous model. The cosmetic surgery has given the Sunny a more pleasing facia and additional creature comforts which were badly missing on the older model. Let`s wait and see if the facelifted Sunny brings more footfalls at the Nissan dealerships. Stay tuned in to MotorCruze for more information about the pricing and other details of the refreshed Sunny.
