Next Gen Fiat Linea spotted testing
The Next Generation Fiat Linea was recently spotted testing in Europe for the first time. Spy pics of the camouflaged Linea were reported online by CarScoops.com.
The Fiat Linea is one of the most dynamically sorted cars available in the market today. The Italian car maker intends to give the sedan a plusher look to increase the brand`s overall appeal. Going by the spy images, the all new Fiat Linea looks slightly wider and longer than the current model. Online reports indicate that the forthcoming Linea car will be based on the Small-Wide Architecture that is used on the Fiat 500X and Jeep Renegade.
The new Linea will be powered by the same 1.3 litre Multijet diesel motor and 1.4 litre T-jet petrol mill. The petrol motor churns out 112 PS of power and 207 Nm of twisting force, while the diesel engine bangs out 92 PS of power and 209 Nm of torque.
Fiat India launched the Linea facelift last year but the car failed to set the cash registers ringing. Though the Linea boasts of superb build quality, Italian design and comes with refined engines, only 500 units were sold during the last 6 months.
The upcoming Fiat Linea will hit the production line in the international markets along with the Italian carmaker`s new line up of cars which includes a station wagon and hatchback. The Next Gen Fiat Linea is expected to go into production next year and will make it to the Indian shores by late 2016.
