New upcoming cars in India 
2015 has been a very good year for customers because there has been a huge increase in number of new vehicles that have made their debut in the country. Satisfying the needs of buyers in every single segment right from entry level hatchbacks, all the way up to supercars like Ferrari, we got them all this year. However, 2015 still ain’t over and let’s check out some of the new upcoming cars in India for this year.
Mercedes S63 AMG sedan – Launching on 11th August
After launching the S500 and S63 AMG coupes in the country, Mercedes will be launching the S63 AMG sedan very soon. It will get its power from a massive 5.5-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that churns out 577 BHP. This vehicle will offer the perfect blend of performance, style and luxury one can ever get in one car.
Ford Figo Aspire – Launching on 12th August
The latest entrant into the compact sedan space is a very potent car. The Ford Figo Aspire without doubt is the best looking sub-4-metre sedan in the country. Its spacious interiors, powerful engine and loads of safety features offered makes for a killer product. Ford just needs to price it well in order to bulldoze its rivals.
Land Rover Discovery Sport – Launching in August
The new model will replace the Freelander 2 in the Land Rover portfolio. The Discovery Sport is a stylish SUV incorporating a few design elements from the Evoque. The SUV will come powered by a 2.2-litre diesel mill in two states of tune – 147 BHP and 187 BHP. It is expected to do well in India given the rise in popularity of SUVs.
Audi A6 facelift – Launching in August
The highly awaited facelift of the A6 will be making its debut in the country towards the end of this month. It will feature design changes on both the exterior and interior department to make it much fresher. It will come with LED headlamps and dynamic turn indicators (as seen on the recently launched Q3 facelift). Only time will tell whether the A6 facelift will be able to tackle the new E-Class well or not.
Abarth Punto Evo
The most anticipated hot hatch, the Abarth Punto Evo is all set to leave the Polo GT in the dust thanks to 145 BHP of power developed from the 1.4-litre T-Jet engine. It is probably the most anticipated model from the Fiat stable till date and it will feature stylish design elements from Abarth to make it look the part as well.
Abarth Avventura will also be making its debut alongside the Abarth Punto Evo. Featuring the same engine and performance figures as the latter, the Abarth Avventura will become the first performance crossover in India. It will be a very potent vehicle but is not expected to find as many buyers as the vehicle it is based on.
Mahindra TUV300 – Launching in September
Famously known by its codename U301, the TUV300 will be making its debut in mid-September. The compact SUV has been designed to kill and will definitely give a strong fight to the Ford EcoSport. It will come with a 5 and 7-seat layout and will be a very capable vehicle, taking inspiration from a battle tank.
Maruti Ertiga facelift
Updated version of the Ertiga will be unveiled at the Indonesian motor show this month. However, it will only launch in the coming month or so. The overall design will remain unchanged but it will feature a few changes on the front end, rear tailgate and on the dashboard in form of a touchscreen infotainment unit.
Ford Figo hatchback
The next generation Figo hatchback will also be launching in the coming few months and it’s all set to become a killer product like the Figo Aspire compact sedan. It will share its engine with the compact sedan and will be a very potent product, giving stiff competition to vehicles like the Grand i10, Maruti Swift, Fiat Punto Evo and others.
New Ford Endeavour
This monster of an SUV will soon be launching in the country with a sole aim of munching the segment leader Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport for breakfast. The SUV looks the part and will come with oodles of features on board as well. It will derive power from 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre diesel engines with optional automatic transmissions and AWD.
The GLE is nothing but a facelift of the M-Class. It will be launching towards the end of the year and looks very appealing thanks to the company’s new design language. The SUV shares a few bits from the C and S-Class luxury sedans and will continue to derive power from the same bunch of engines found on the M-Class.
Mercedes AMG GT
The AMG GT is one of the most anticipated sports car of the year. The SLS successor is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. It will simply blow the competition away with its super sleek looks and Mercedes AMG name tags.
The iconic muscle car from the American shores will be coming to India for the first time ever. Only the coupe variant is expected to make it to the country with the engine specifications still remaining a mystery. It will find many buyers thanks its enormous fan following which exists all over the world.
Another iconic supercar, the GT-R will be returning to India for the second time towards the end of 2015. It is one hell of a car which derives its power from a custom hand-built 3.8-litre V6 engine that can leave a few Porsches and Ferraris in the rear view mirror.
BMW X5 M
Performance version of the X5 will be coming to India soon and will come powered by a big 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine as seen on the M5, but with more power. It will come with the sporty signature M styling elements with various changes made inside the cabin as well.
BMW X6 M
The second performance SUV from BMW will derive its power from the same engine found on the X5 M. It will crack the 0-100 km/hr run in 5.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/hr. The performance version will grow on the X6’s sexy design featuring sportier bumpers along with a body kit.
BMW 1-Series facelift
The not so successful rival of the A-Class, the 1-Series luxury hatchback will be updated this year in order to become a more potent offering from the BMW stable. It will only feature changes in the design department and will remain unchanged on the mechanical front.
BMW 3-Series facelift
The 3-Series will also be updated this year in order to give the amazing looking C-Class a tougher fight. BMW will most likely keep the engines unchanged but will tweak the exteriors to make it look more premium and better than the outgoing model. The German car maker will also launch facelifts of the X1, 5-Series and 7-Series this year.
