New Triumph Thunderbird LT introduced in India at Rs. 15.75 lakhs
British motorcycle manufacturer’s Indian wing Triumph Motorcycles India Private limited has launched the Thunderbird LT in India at Rs. 15.75 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Thunderbird LT is a cruiser model of the existing model Thunderbird Storm. With the launch of the new Thunderbird LT version, Triumph’s Indian product range has increased to a total of 12 models, as the company launched 11 motorcycles in the country earlier this year. The Thunderbird LT will give the company a competitive edge in the Indian luxury cruiser motorcycle segment, which has witnessed great growth within the premium bike market in the country.
The Triumph Thunderbird LT’s ‘LT’ stands for Light Tourer. The motorcycle has been given a lot of chrome garnishes for a great eye-catching look that adds to the cruiser appeal and should please the biking enthusiasts.
Among the many attractive features of the Triumph Thunderbird LT include a couple of removable leather saddle bags, two auxiliary spot lamps and the real white-walled radial tyres on wire spoke rims which are the first in the world. The motorcycle also comes with completely refreshed design, newly shaped seat that comes with heavy foam padding as well as lumbar support for optimal comfort. The seat also maintains a low height to ensure a comfortable ride to riders of all sizes. The back of the seat or the pillion seat comes along with a great backrest as well in order to facilitate comfortable long rides for two people.
The Thunderbird LT also gets a higher windscreen adding to its smart appeal and wind shield capabilities in order to allow the rider to arrive at his destination feeling fresh and relaxed. According to Triumph the stylish leather saddlebags of the Thunderbird LT is capable of holding up to 26 litres of luggage making the bike a perfect cruiser model meant for weekend getaways and long rides. The bike also gets a 22 litre fuel tank which makes sure that riders can travel for longer distances without having to worry about refuelling. Triumph has also endowed the Thunderbird LT with an electronic immobilizer for enhanced safety.
The Triumph Thunderbird LT is powered by a 1699cc parallel twin motor that generates 94PS of power and 151Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Thunderbird LT gets a front 150 section tyre while there is a 180 section at the rear.
The new Triumph Thunderbird LT is available in 4 attractive body colour options – Phantom Black, Crystal White, Caspian Blue and Lava Red.
