It’s a cut throat competition in the SUV segment, and everything is getting fast paced. The love for the SUV`s among the Indian car buyers has led to the introduction of many new SUV models lately. And now, most of these SUVs are coming in their new avatars as well to entice the customers.
Indian car major Tata Motors has had its huge share of misfortune of plummeting sales and falling position in its home market. Tata Motors is thus, now more than resolute to rave up its sales. Apart from a series of new car launches planned ahead, it is also working on the refreshed versions of some of its best products in the market. One of the models from Tata which is scheduled to get its facelift soon, is the Safari Storme SUV. The Tata Safari Storme indeed has tough competition as its arch rival and segment topper Mahindra Scorpio has just launched its all new avatar, while another primary competitor Renault Duster gets further equipped with an All Wheel Drive system.
To fight the competition Tata Motors is busy working on the facelift version of the Safari Storme. The Safari Storme facelift has been in news for quite some time and has been spied as well. The SUV has been again spied recently revealing its new more aggressive front fascia and other new design elements. As per the latest set of spy pictures of the Tata Safari Storme facelift, the SUV is going to flaunt a few face with a refreshed front grille, more attractive air dams with expected silver garnishing and a redesigned front bumper.
Though still not fully revealed as yet, many other mild cosmetic changes are expected on the Safari Storme facelift as well, including expected new design elements for the headlights, tail lights along with some added dose of chrome. However, the most interesting updates are expected under the hood of the SUV. The Safari Storme facelift is expected to get the new Aria’s 2.2 liter VARICOR motor that generates 150PS of max power and 320Nm of peak torque mated to the same 5 speed transmission. Increased fuel efficiency is also expected.
On the inside, the new Safari Storme facelift will get a new infotainment system and also an expected front facing seats in the third row. However, as per reports this particular prototype was entirely lacking back seats. Thus, the new seating arrangement is far from confirmed. At present, in order to boost sales Tata Motors is offering huge discounts of over Rs. 1 Lakh on the Safari Storme and the refreshed version is expected to come with a slight price slash in order to beat market competition.
Tata was expected to have launched the Safari Storme facelift by this year’s festive season, but now it seems that the able SUV will launch towards the end of the year.
