New Suzuki Gixxer spotted with dual-tone color scheme; GSX 150R rendered
Suzuki Gixxer has been one of the most successful motorbike for Suzuki in 2014. Suzuki has not exactly had a successful run in the Indian 2-wheeler market with its offerings, and all of its hopes are pinned to the Gixxer. The Gixxer naked bike street fighter was recently spotted out in the open in a dual color scheme. The dual color scheme of red and black perfectly complemented the naked bike. The black ascents on the fuel tank and along the back fenders look perfect on the already aggressive looking bike. Suzuki Gixxer hopes to make a dent in the premium 150 cc segment premium naked bike segment, which already is flooded with the Yamaha FZ’s and the Pulsars.
The Suzuki Gixxer has a 155cc single cylinder 14.2 BHP engine, which is good for 14 Nm of torque. All that power is transferred via a 5-speed gearbox. The Japanese manufacturer also plans to add a full-faired version of the Gixxer in its portfolio of products. A premium full-faired version of the bike would give it a sporty look and also add more volume to the company’s sales. The bike would have a slightly differently tuned engine, along with disc brakes and clip on handle bars (it’s speculated).
The fully faired version of the bike would be priced slightly higher than the naked bike version, by about 15,000 INR. It will also make its debut later on in the year. Its main competition would be the Yamaha Fazer, CBR150R and the Yamaha R15.
