The head space, legroom and knee-room in the front and rear seem the same as before, nevertheless impressive. The New Octavia’s boot space is now larger, a whooping 590 liters, which is enough to carry five suitcases. The rear seats are foldable which increases the size of the boot up to 1,580 liters. The features of the base Ambition variant are- 16-inch alloy wheels, headlights with LED daytime lamps, electric wing mirrors, front and rear fog lamps, height flexible driver seat, remote key operation for windows and keyless entry. This variant has a dual zone climate control system as well as rare AC vent.  The variant also has the touchscreen entertainment system with smartphone incorporation. Since this is the most basic variant, it gets ABS with EBD, front airbags, rear parking sensors, multi-collision integration and electronic stability control.

More features in terms of technology, safety and comfort add on as the range increases.  Apart from the standard features, the Style variant of the Octavia has something called the hands-free parking and a 12 way power adjustable driver seat with memory function. The safety in this variant is taken to heart with its fatigue alert system, rear side and curtain airbags and the tyre pressure monitoring system. The Skoda Octavia 2017 is going to compete with the likes of Toyota Corolla Altis and Hyundai Elantra. The new Octavia is based on the MQB platform by the Volkswagen group which also highlights the forthcoming Skoda Kodiaq 7 seater SUV.
