New seven seater SUV from Skoda based on Volkswagen`s cross blue SUV
Skoda has big plans for India and is planning to launch new models in the coming years. The first model to come out of the Skoda stable would be the Skoda Yeti facelift by the end of 2014. This would be followed by a compact SUV based on the VW Taigun platform. Apart from this Skoda plans to bring in an all new seven seater SUV to take on the likes of Chevrolet Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero and the Santa Fe.
Skoda does not have a model in this segment and wants to fill up this space. This new SUV from Skoda could be Skoda`s new version of Volkswagen Cross Blue SUV. It is expected to be around 4.6 metres in length and will come full loaded with cutting edge features. We can also expect a fully loaded all wheel drive version. Expect this SUV to be launched by Skoda next year. Skoda’s new bold styling will be featured on this SUV and we can also expect a sloping roofline like the one on the Range Rover Evoque. This new seven seat SUV will be slotted above the Skoda Superb which is the flagship luxury sedan for Skoda in India. We can expect this seven seater SUV to be priced in the 25-30 lakh bracket.
