New Mahindra Scorpio TVC launched

New Facelifted Mahindra Scorpio

New Mahindra Scorpio –

The Mahindra Scorpio has been a really successful model for the Indian UV manufacturer. It has been around for almost a decade now and has received various updates, major and minor. The Scorpio was facing competition from some new entrants in the market and to make sure it doesn’t lose its charm, Mahindra has launched the new Scorpio. The new Scorpio was recently launched in India and now the official television commercial for the new car has been released. The new TV commercial will go on air soon or maybe it is already being broadcasted.

Like the past advertisements of the SUV, it tries to show off its go anywhere capabilities. Mahindra has released a teaser video for the new Mahindra Scorpio a while back and the new TV commercial continues from previous ones. Like the past TV commercials, this one manages to be attractive and would appeal the targeted audience. It shows a horse being pulled out of slush by the Scorpio, being driven by a man. This focuses on the torque and power on offer on this SUV. The car is covered in mud all over but it is then washed in style using a plane. Then the driver drives the SUV back home while passing through some tough terrains. Here Mahindra is trying to make a point about how the new Scorpio can tackle different surfaces and bring you home in comfort.

A lot of pictures of the new Scorpio were floating around the internet before the car was officially launched on September 25. Before the official launch, Mahindra started accepting bookings for the new Scorpio through its dealers. They were also accepting bookings through the online retailer The new Mahindra Scorpio brings in a lot of changes to this already impressive product to make it more appealing to buyers.

The front has been restyled and it looks sharper than ever. The top end variant gets day time running lamps which give it a frowned eyebrow look. The grille in the front has got chrome inserts which look attractive and it complements the headlamps well. It gets 17 inch wheels instead of the 16 inch wheels on the previous model. The rear has got styling elements that would remind you that it is a Scorpio. There is a black applique running across the width of the tailgate and we have got mixed feelings about it. It works on some colours while it looks hideous on others.

The interiors have also been updated on the new Scorpio. It has got a new dashboard and steering wheel. It also gets new upholstery for the seats. The quality of materials used is also a notch above what we saw on the previous generation car. The engines continue to be the same as the outgoing model. The lowest variant S2 is powered by the 2.5 litre m2DICR engine, while all the other variants are powered by the 2.2 mHawk diesel engine. These engines are coupled to the 5 speed manual gearbox from the Xylo.
