New Jaguar XF spotted in India with heavy camouflage

New Jaguar XF spied in India

Jaguar`s luxury sports saloon the XF has been recently spotted with full camouflage in Bangalore. The all new XF was spotted by a reader of leading automobile news portal Autocar India. The 2015 Jaguar XF was showcased recently at the New York Auto Show this year. The new car is lighter by 190 kilos compared to the previous model due to the use of 75 percent aluminium on the new iQ (A) aluminium platform. The British Luxury carmaker claims that the car`s outer shell is 30 percent more rigid than the outgoing car`s and the weight distribution at the front and rear is a perfect 50:50.

Compared to its predecessor the new XF has a lower stance and gets a bigger bonnet. The car`s aesthetics are worth a mention. It`s big wheels, large grille and long profile give it dramatic road presence. The upcoming model also gets larger air dams under the front headlights which accentuate the aggressive stance.

The interiors are luxurious without much clutter. A new 10.2 inch touchscreen and In Control Touch Pro which is JLR`s new multimedia system are a part of the interior package. The new Jaguar XF`s steering wheel resembles the one of the XJ saloon. Tech wizardry features like the rolling up AC vents and pop-up gear knob have been retained. Important information like vehicle speed, traffic sign recognition and cruise control alerts are shown on the heads-up display.

We expect JLR to power the new XF with the new 1.2 litre Ingenium gasoline and diesel engines along with the high performance V6 petrol and diesel motors. It`s quite possible that the company will launch only the XF top-end variant as per its new strategy. When launched the new Jag will rival the likes of the Audi A6, Merc E-class and the BMW 5-series.
