New Honda Jazz sells 9,000 units so far
The recently launched Honda Jazz has taken off to a good start with Honda Cars India reportedly selling 9,000 units of the Jazz hatchback in the country. The premium hatch from the Japanese car maker was launched on July 8, 2015 and has contributed a significant 18% to Honda`s growth story for the month of July 2015.
6,676 units of the Jazz were sold in July alone and first time car buyers made a 45% contribution to this figure. It`s immediate rival, the Elite i20 sold 10,031 units, while Maruti`s Swift took the No.1 spot with 18,870 units. The 2105 Honda Jazz is priced between Rs 5.30 Lakh – 8.59 lakh, ex-showroom, (New Delhi).
Honda Cars India, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen said, “We are extremely happy with the response received for the All New Jazz. The Jazz has been able to expand the premium hatchback segment and its volumes will significantly contribute to the growth we are expecting this year.”
