Ford has launched the next-gen Figo (KA) in Brazil. As per reports the hatchback is available in two variants – SE (35,390 BRL) INR 9.5 lakh and the top-end SEL variant retails at (39,990 BRL) INR 10.7 lakh.
The SE variant comes with air conditioning, front power windows, tilt adjustable steering, Bluetooth connectivity, USB and sound system. The Ford KA will be powered by a 1.0 litre turbocharged motor that produces 85bhp and 107 Nm of torque mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. It is possible to run the engine on gasoline and ethanol. The KA hatchback features a cabin which is similar to the 2014 Ford Fiesta. Ford`s signature steering wheel, butterfly shaped centre console and Ford`s SYNC multimedia system are some of the features offered on this car. The current Ford Figo in India will be replaced by the new KA in 2015. The new-gen Figo may not get the turbocharged motor seen on the Brazilian version. The current 1.2 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel motors doing duty on the current model will power the car when it is launched in 2015. The car will be produced at Ford`s Sanand plant in Gujarat.
