New Audi Q7 launched in India at Rs. 72 lakhs
Audi has launched the facelifted version of Q7 premium SUV in India at Rs. 77.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The updated Q7 range comprises of two diesel variants including a standard Audi Q7 Premium Plus which is priced at Rs. 72 lakh and the range topping Technology Pack which is available at an additional premium of Rs 5.5 lakh. In the premium SUV segment, the SUV will fight it out with rivals like the Volvo XC90, BMW X5 and Land Rover Discovery.
Appearing compact in size than its predecessor, the new Audi Q7 is much lighter than the outgoing model. Up front Audi’s hexagonal radiator grille decorates the front bumper flanked by the A8 afflated matrix head lamps. Cabin has also been spruced up and it looks absolutely classy. Among the new additions, a new dashboard and seats are included. The dated dials have been replaced with the cockpit LCD screen that flashes all required information.
Besides the above mentioned additions, the cabin also gets other contemporary creature comforts such as four zone climate control, navigation system, Bose infotainment set up and park assist supported by a 360 degree camera. Conceived on a new platform, the new Audi Q7 is a staggering 325 kgs lighter than the previous model. This in turn works well for the new suspension set up and the new hardware yielding enhanced performance. Under the hood, Audi has packed a 3.0 litre turbocharged engine that develops a massive 252 PS along with 600 Nm of torque. In terms of efficiency, the new motor is more efficient than the previous one which was essentially the same engine but offered considerably less power than the current version.
