MV Agusta forays into India with Brutale 1090 priced at Rs 17.99 lakh, F3 800 launch on cards
Italian motorcycle marque MV Agusta has forayed in the domestic market with the launch of the Brutale 1090 street-fighter priced at Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom Pune). Delivery period for the bike is around 2 to 3 weeks. Alongside the new bike, the company also showcased the MV Agusta F3 800. In India, MV Agusta has formed a JV (joint venture) with Kinetic Group which will provide service, spares and after sales assistance to the customers.
Powering the super bike is a 144 HP/112 Nm, 1078cc engine mated to a six-speed transmission. Known for commendable acceleration, the bike offers a top speed of 265 kmph. Features on the Brutal 1090 comprise of an 8-stage traction control and anti-lock-braking system.
The other bike which was unveiled at the launch event, the F3 800 is a visually delightful bike featuring strong lines, triple exhaust unit and a single head lamp cluster. The F3 800 gets its juice from a 148 HP, 798cc motor capable of hitting a top speed of 269 kmph. The bike also gets an 8-stage traction control and anti-lock-braking system as few of the standard fitments. MV Agusta will launch this model in the beginning of next year. Expected pricing for the F3 800 will be around Rs 20 lakh. Kinetic Group will set up an exclusive outlet for the super bikes dubbed “Motoroyale’ which will be confined to metro cities. Both the bikes will be sold as a completely built unit in India. Post the launch of the F3 models; we also expect the F4 series to hit the Indian shores.
