Mercedes launches its innovatively designed and technology packed GLA45 AMG priced at Rs 69.60 lakhs

There is some exciting news for ardent Mercedes-Benz fans; the company launched its much awaited new GLA45 AMG SUV in India. The development of the car is inspired from the innovative (MFA) Modular Front Architecture platform of Mercedes-Benz.

The GLA 45 AMG crossover is different from the standard GLA car. The base structure is lower by 15mm, and it sits on 19-inch AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels. The GLA 45 AMG gets a rear diffuser, new grille, re-structured bumper with bigger air intakes and quad exhaust. The vision of the company is to give the GLA 45 AMG a distinctive sporty character and to achieve this Mercedes-Benz is offering a range of customization options for the crossover.


The Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG 4MATIC is packed with a powerful four cylinder 2.0-litre turbocharged power train adopted from the CLA 45 AMG. The motor churns out 450Nm of torque and 355 bhp of power. The mystery behind the forceful nature of the engine is a seven-speed AMG Speed Shift dual clutch transmission, power is transmitted to all four wheels via the 4 MATIC all-wheel drive system. Its enormous stopping power is generated from the AMG Performance Braking System; the GLA 45 AMG also gets a stiffer suspension setup, anti-roll bar and grippier wheel geometry.


The GLA45 AMG has oodles of performance on tap and boasts of a 0-100 km/hr in just 4.8 seconds and has an electronically limited top whack of 250 km/hr.


The exterior design of the Mercedes GLA 45 AMG is stunning; the interiors come in an equally marvelous package. Step inside and consumers can enjoy all the elements of grandeur a car can offer with a Harman Kardon audio system, rear air con vents, automatic climate control, and floating infotainment system with advanced media and navigation connectivity. The dashboard is infused with carbon fibre bits to highlight the sporty character of the crossover. The seats belts are tailored with a funky red shade and the newly developed AMG flat bottom three spoke steering wheel makes driving the car immensely pleasurable.


Mercedes-Benz has loaded the GLA 45 AMG with a host of safety and driver assist features such as seat occupation sensor, tire pressure monitoring system, headlamp assist, blind spot assist, collision prevention assist plus, lane keeping assist, attention assist, active bonnet and hill start assist, 3 point seat belts and seven airbags.
