LAUNCHED: Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV price starts at INR 80.40 lacs
Mercedes-Benz India has recently launched their flagship SUV, the Mercedes-Benz GLS, in the Indian market, with prices starting from INR 80.40 lacs, ex-showroom Pune. Basically a facelifted version of the older Mercedes GL SUV, the new GLS has been given an ‘S’ in its name in order to signify that it draws inspiration from the iconic Mercedes S-Class. In order to signify the luxurious character of this prominent SUV, the German automotive manufacturing giant refers to it as the S-Class of SUVs.
Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV has been given a new front fascia that now gets a twin-slat grille and new headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lamps. The bumpers too have been given a beefier appearance that enhances the road presence of the GLS SUV. The chunky 10-spoke alloys look ecstatic, while they are aptly sized to ensure that the side profile does not look puny.
On the inside, Mercedes-Benz India has given the new GLS a cabin arrangement that will remind you of the earlier GL-Class. The most important design elements here include an 8-inch touchscreen system that is responsible to take care of all infotainment needs of occupants, and is compatible with Apple CarPlay. The steering wheel too has been given a brand-new look, as the three-spoke unit is wrapped with extremely premium Nappa leather.
