Mercedes G63 AMG ‘Crazy Colour’ edition launched at Rs. 2.17 crores
Mercedes is on the offensive in the performance luxury segment and has launched quite a few products in the segment already. Yesterday, the German luxury car manufacturer launched the S500 coupe, S63 AMG and G63 ‘Crazy Colour’ edition in India as well. In topic is the new G63 edition that has been priced at Rs. 2.17 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi).
As the name suggests, the ‘Crazy Colour’ edition gives customers the option to choose the G63 SUV in 5 unique colours – Alien Green, Sunset Beam, Tomato Red, Solar Beam and Galactic Beam. Unique names ain’t they? Anyhow, the bumpers along with the rain gutters and wheel arches have been finished in Obsidian Black paint as a contrasting paint scheme.
The G63 Crazy Colour edition is powered by the same 5.5-litre twin turbocharged, V8 engine that also powers the normal G63 as well. The engine is capable of banging out 536 BHP at 5500 RPM and 760 Nm of torque at 2000-5000 RPM. The famous SUV can hit the ton from standstill in just 5.4 seconds thanks to a 7 speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT automatic transmission that sends power to all the four wheels.
Coming to the interior department, the new edition comes with custom black Nappa leather upholstery with contrast stitching on the centre console, seats, door panels and dashboard depending on which body colour is chosen.
Also, Mercedes has launched special Designo editions for the S-Class and CLS-Class. This edition enables customers to choose special trims and colours for the interiors and exterior of the vehicle so that every model that rolls out of the showroom is unique to its respective owner.
