Mercedes-Benz India launches Edition 1 models of A-Class and B-Class

Mercedes-Benz India has gone ahead and launched the Edition 1 variants of the A and B- Class. It’s been more than a year since the A and B class regular variants were launched. Mercedes has launched the special editions to commemorate the overwhelming customer response for these two models.

The A-Class and B-Class contribute about 20% of the car maker`s total volumes in the Indian market. Mercedes-Benz has reported a rise of 27% increase in its domestic sales volumes for the first quarter of this year at 2,554 units.

Only a hundred units of the Edition 1 A-Class and B-Class will be manufactured. The Edition 1 models will be available only with a diesel mill. Additional features are a part of the Edition 1 package. There is a new alloy design, glossy black rear view mirrors and a decal for the side skirts. Mercedes-Benz has raised the ground clearance and a few creature comforts have been added to the interiors. The centre arm rest at the rear has cup holders, LCD screens and a DVD player to pamper the rear seat passengers. In addition to this the Edition 1 models get a panoramic sunroof and memory function for the front passenger seat.

Prices for the A-Class and B-Class Edition 1 models are 26.17 lakh and 28.75 Lakh ex-showroom Mumbai.
