Mercedes AMG C63 S will make its way to India with a twin-turbo V8 (503 HP) engine

German auto giant Mercedes will be bringing in the AMG C63 S to battle it out with the BMW M3. With a car that`s stunning to look at and capable of giving sports cars a tough fight on the race track, Mercedes has a winner on its hands.

Mercedes Benz will be launching the AMG C63 S in India during the third quarter of this year. The car will be brought to Indian via the CBU route and will compete with the likes of the BMW M3. Expect the car to be priced around the 1.3 crore mark mainly due to the heavy import duty. Mercedes plans to launch a bevy of models this year and the AMG C63 is going to be one of them.

Internationally the car is available with two engine options which feature AMG`s cutting edge twin turbo 4.0 litre V8 engine capable of churning out 469 HP and 650 Nm of torque under the hood of the C63, and 503 HP and 670 Nm of twisting force in the C63 S. The company will be only bringing in the more powerful C63 S to the country. If you look at the technical specifications the power figures of the AMG C63 are identical to the Mercedes AMG GTS, but the torque figure of the C63 S is slightly higher. On Paper the power and torque figures of the C63 S are much higher than the BMW M3`s which stand at (425 HP and 550 Nm).

To take the interior design a notch higher, and to give it a sporty appeal the designers at AMG have taken inspiration from the C Class cabin and have added more features to the already luxurious cabin. The C63 S has an aluminium wing on the dash, bucket seats, sporty steering wheel and pedals and an IWC clock. Also AMG logos are present in the cabin and the digital interface.

This car has been designed by Mercedes purely for enthusiasts who wish to have a blast behind the wheel. The AMG C63 S weighs 1654.7 kgs and is capable of reaching the 100 kmph mark from standstill in just 3.9 seconds. Currently there are six AMG models on sale in India and with the launch of the AMG GTS and AMG C63 S this number is only set to increase.
