Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 Cabriolet spied
Surprise Surprise! These spied images are of none other than the much awaited Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Cabriolet prototype. Wonder what makes us sure? Well, those large front intakes, wide wheel arches, high-performance brakes and AMG-like exhaust tips shouts out loud that it is indeed an AMG variant of the upcoming Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet. The AMG C63 Cabriolet will drive into the international market towards the end of 2016; we expect it to grace the domestic market sometime in 2017.
When you are talking about a Merc product never doubt the interiors as it is bound to be luxurious. Few amazing optional features will be seen adorning the AMG C63 Cabriolet, like the AIRSCARF and the AIRCAP system. The AIRSCARF system during an open-top drive will provide warm air even in low temperatures for an unmatched drive experience. The AIRCAP system on the other hand is linked to the roof’s frame and is mated to an electric wind blocker at the back of the rear seats. Mercedes-Benz claims that the soft top can function (lowered or raised) in just 20 seconds at a speed of around 50 km/h.
For those who aren’t aware, the AMG C63 is equipped with a V8 4.0-L unit that bangs out a massive 469 bhp of power and can sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in a mere 4.1 seconds. The AMG C63 Cabriolet on the other hand delivers power output of 250 km/h. Now coming to the AMG C63 S model, the power output figure stands at 503 bhp, while it takes just 4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. The maximum speed also gets a boost which is 280 km/h and the transmission option available is the AMG SpeedShift 7-speed MCT gearbox.
