Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza to be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo

Maruti Suzuki, India’s favourite automaker is all set to launch the Vitara Brezza in India at Auto Expo 2016. The compact SUV will not be sold through NEXA showrooms and will be available at Maruti’s nationwide standard dealership. Vitara Brezza’s bookings will begin right after the launch and the car will be shipped to the dealers, deliveries can be expected to start somewhere around April. The name ‘Vitara Brezza’ isn’t confirmed yet, reports confirm just the word Brezza to be there. The Indo-Japanese carmaker has a very strong hold over the Indian market for decades now, it is now exploring into new segments to continue its dominance.

The compact SUVs exteriors looks stylish and rugged and it is expected to be offered in some bright and catchy colours. Many stylish features have been included that imparts an SUV look to the car. It will get bumpers with skid plates and body-cladding is expected too. The interiors look spacious and will also feature a similar interior design like the S-Cross. Vitara Brezza is the next big project after Baleno and is said to be packed with lots of features like the Baleno.

On the mechanical front, 1.3 litre MultiJet Fiat sourced diesel engine will continue to power Maruti’s Vitara Brezza. The compact SUV is expected to churn out more than 90 PS of power which will be in close competition to its rival Ford EcoSport which offers 100 PS. Transmission duties will be performed by a 5-speed manual gearbox.

As per reports, Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza will be offered in the price range of its close rival Ford EcoSport. It is expected to be priced between Rs. 8-12 lakhs. The SUV will closely compete with the likes of Mahindra TUV300 too. Maruti Suzuki’s cars are known to have huge demand in the Indian market, hence this compact SUV is also expected to have a long waiting period once it is launched.
