Maruti Suzuki’s Premium Car Dealership NEXA Turns 1
A year ago in July 2015, Maruti Suzuki India created NEXA to cater to the requirement of new and evolving segments of Indian customers. It is surprising that through NEXA, Maruti Suzuki were able to attract over 51% of new categories of customers. This implies that the very aim of NEXA to redefine the car purchase experience in the country stands justified. The company has set up 150 NEXA showrooms across 94 cities within one year, and the best part is it has registered 1 lakh sales which happen to be around 10% of the Indo-Japanese carmaker’s total domestic sales.
NEXA is one of the rapidly growing automobile sales channels in India. The carmaker now plans to march ahead at set up a total of 250 outlets in the next fiscal. The S-Cross crossover was the first to be sold through NEXA network in the country, second one is the Baleno hatchback. If you happen to remember, the initial sales growth for the S-Cross was not so great because of its price range, but ever since Maruti slashed the offer price by over 2 lakhs it has received overwhelming response. And with the arrival of the Baleno, the carmaker`s plan to enrich customer experience has gone up to yet another level.
There is no stopping for the country’s favourite carmaker, as it is finding out new possibilities to offer best experience. With NEXA, the auto major has been able to woo new customers in the premium space; it also plans to come up with music festivals, new lifestyle and styling sessions in the future. The NEXA network is even expected to contribute around 15% share in the total sales by the year 2020.
