Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza: All you need to know
Maruti`s upcoming Vitara Brezza stole the limelight at the recently concluded 2016 Auto Expo. This is the first compact SUV from Maruti and like all Maruti products, the Brezza has all the right ingredients to take on its rivals like the Ford Ecosport and the TUV300. The company has not yet announced the launch date of the car, but here are some important facts about the car which we could get our hands on:-
> Maruti Vitara Brezza would be retailed from the company’s dealerships and not from their premium Nexa outlets.
> The compact SUV would be priced between Rs. 5 – 8 lakhs, ex-showroom.
> It would be exported to Africa, Latin America, Middle East and countries in Asia as well.
> To keep costs in check, the upcoming compact SUV has been produced using 98% local content.
> Developed over a period of five years, the Brezza is the first compact SUV from brand Maruti.
> It has been developed and designed in India.
> The Maruti Brezza will initially be launched only with a diesel heart, but a petrol variant will be introduced at a later stage.
> The Diesel trim of the Maruti Vitara Brezza would be available in six variants which are – LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi, and ZDi+.
> On the safety front, the Brezza will be equipped with ABS, EBD and dual front airbags on the top-spec variant. These features can be opted on the base variant also, while the driver-side airbag feature will be present from the VDi trim onwards.
